2026 Nissan Skyline Revealed

Best Car Magazine has released some information on the future Nissan Skyline, and well, this is the future, like it or not.  Many countries will not allow anything other than zero emissions vehicles to be sold new. This leaves manufactures like Nissan, little real choice in what the future will look like. Since development cycles in the new car world are 8-10 years in the future, and models will run for 10 years or more, these cars will be sold well into all these government mandates. 

Nissan’s Electric Future: A Focus on Global BEVs

Nissan has recently unveiled concept cars, the Infiniti Vision Qe (sedan) and QXe (crossover), signaling a strong commitment to electric vehicles (EVs). While initially slated for a 2025 release, recent market trends have prompted a slight delay to 2026.

The Next-Gen Nissan Skyline: A Battery-Electric Powerhouse

A particularly exciting development is the upcoming all-electric Nissan Skyline. This new generation will mark a significant departure from the traditional gasoline-powered model, offering impressive performance and advanced technology.

The Nissan Ariya: A Global EV Platform

The Nissan Ariya serves as the foundation for the brand’s global EV strategy. This mid-size SUV boasts a powerful dual-motor setup, delivering 450 horsepower and all-wheel drive capability. Initially intended for overseas markets, the Ariya’s impressive dimensions and advanced features have led to its introduction in Japan as well.

As Nissan continues to invest in electric vehicle technology, the future looks bright for the brand. With the upcoming release of the next-generation Skyline and the global expansion of the Ariya, Nissan is well-positioned to lead the charge in the electric vehicle market.

The current Skyline will continue to be sold until 2025, when it will be replaced by this new model.
