Platnium Racing Products has just released some information on their newly cast aftermarket engine blocks for the RB26. This all new casting has several options and improvements on the stock 05U, or N1 24U block.
$8800 AUD for a standard main cap (approx $5700 USD)
$10000 AUD for integrated main brace with 2 bolt mains (approx $6500 USD)
$11000 AUD for integrated main brace with 4 bolt mains (approx $7200 USD)
Some of the enhanced features
- Threaded freeze plugs
- Relocated oil galleries for longer strokes
- 12.5 mm deck thickness
- Ductile iron to minimize risk of cracking
- Siamesed bore configuration to increase strength
- Larger oil drain back
