I found these charts that they call the serial numbers, but they are the chassis number or equivalent of a VIN number. There were a few minor errors in the chart on Japanese Sport Cars, so I corrected them. The R33 prototypes were first produced in 1992. I find it strange that the R33 GT-R – BCNR33 starts with chassis number 000051 in 1994, but there is no listing for 1993. Although from the numbers there, 850 cars from 1994, so its not all pre-production.
I wonder if any of the other odd 3, 70,14,5 chassis produced in 1995 and 1996 give us any clue to N1’s.
Some of these numbers don’t exactly jive with what I have seen listed other places so if anyone knows how they counted them, let me know.
