Over the years we have had a number of things stolen from cars. It is sort of one of the costs of doing business. We ship most cars Ro Ro or roll on, roll off. We actually ship on Nissan Line, so these old cars come with brand new Nissans. That includes 100k T-Spec, and Nismos. This last shipment of cars had two gauge clusters stolen out of cars.

In the past, we had a steering wheel stolen from an NSX. They told us it shipped like that. We routinely have shift knobs and things stolen, but a gauge cluster and triple meter, really isn’t anthing we should be concerned about. In this case the cluster and meter will cost us about $3000 to $4000 to replace each. As customers, and entrusting the shipper, the ports at both ends to ensure our cargo, that we pay for them to transport, arrives undamaged, and things not stolen from them, its just unacceptable. Yes, they even put the trim back. This isn’t necessarily a simple or quick job. These people knew what they were stealing.

, Nissan Shipping line (http://www.nissancarrier.co.jp/en/about_05.html), Yokohama port, it happened somewhere between when it was dropped off an picked up. We have pictures, we have proof. You somehow need to work on your security, your employees, the people that you let onto the ports to ensure this doesn’t happen.
